backalley is a small, fully functioning city, encased by a glass box of emotion an impenetrable spherical forcefield, beyond which there appears to be...nothing. Perhaps it's a social experiment, perhaps it's a glitch in the universe as a whole. Most of the basic needs of the city are taken care of by drones--they look human, they can run a power plant or a subway or your corner grocery store, but there's nobody home in there.
